Greenbrier to Webcast Presentation at Bear Stearns Global Transport Conference

The Greenbrier Companies announced today that on Tuesday, May 11, 2004, the Company will be presenting at the Bear Stearns Global Transport Conference held at the Bear Stearns headquarters in New York, NY.

The presentation will be webcast live beginning at 2:20 pm EDT on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 and can be accessed at the Greenbrier website at www.gbrx.com. To access the webcast, click on the "Investors" tab. The presentation will be archived for 180 days.
